Curator's Agreement

This Curator's Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Acronym Meaning ("we," "our," or "us") and you ("Curator," "you," or "your") as of the date you accept this Agreement by checking the box and clicking "Create Account."

1. Definition of a Curator

A Curator is a registered user of Acronym Meaning who contributes acronyms and their definitions ("Curator Content") to the platform and may participate in our revenue-sharing program.

2. Eligibility

To become a Curator, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a verified account on Acronym Meaning.
  • Agree to this Curator's Agreement.

3. Content Submission

  • You must submit original content or content for which you have the necessary rights.
  • You represent and warrant that your Curator Content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • All submissions must comply with our Content Guidelines, which prohibit plagiarism, offensive material, and inaccurate information.
  • Acronym Meaning reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any Curator Content at its sole discretion.

4. Ownership and Licensing

By submitting Curator Content, you grant Acronym Meaning a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Curator Content in connection with the Services and our business, including for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Services.

You retain ownership of your Curator Content, but you acknowledge that Acronym Meaning has the right to continue using your Curator Content even after you leave the platform or terminate your account.

5. Content Removal and Termination

  • Curators do not have the right to remove their Curator Content from the platform after submission, including upon termination of their account or departure from the platform.
  • Only Acronym Meaning officers have the authority to remove Curator Content from the platform, and such removal is at their sole discretion.
  • Upon termination of your Curator account, whether by you or by Acronym Meaning, your Curator Content will remain on the platform unless removed by Acronym Meaning officers at their discretion.
  • You acknowledge and agree that Acronym Meaning has no obligation to remove your Curator Content upon your departure and may continue to use it indefinitely under the license granted in Section 4.

6. Revenue-Sharing Program

  • Curators may earn 10% of the sponsor revenue generated from advertisements or sponsorships associated with their Curator Content.
  • "Sponsor revenue" refers to the gross revenue received by Acronym Meaning from sponsors for advertisements or sponsorships directly tied to your Curator Content.
  • The calculation of your earnings will be based on the sponsor revenue attributed to your Curator Content, as determined by Acronym Meaning's tracking and analytics systems.
  • Detailed information on how sponsor revenue is calculated and attributed to your Curator Content will be available in the Curator Dashboard, accessible upon account verification.

7. Payment Terms

  • Payments will be made monthly via PayPal, provided your earnings exceed $20.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate PayPal account details.
  • Acronym Meaning is not responsible for any fees or charges associated with payment processing via PayPal.

8. Tax and Legal Responsibilities

  • Curators are independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax obligations and legal compliance related to their earnings.
  • You agree to indemnify Acronym Meaning for any tax liabilities arising from your participation in the revenue-sharing program.

9. Termination and Suspension

  • Acronym Meaning may terminate or suspend your Curator account or revenue-sharing eligibility for violations of this Agreement or the Terms of Service.
  • Upon termination, you will forfeit any unpaid earnings, and your Curator Content will remain on the platform unless removed by Acronym Meaning officers at their sole discretion.

10. Confidentiality

You agree to keep confidential any non-public information you access through your Curator account.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

Acronym Meaning provides the revenue-sharing program "as is" and disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions in the Terms of Service.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Agreement

Acronym Meaning may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued participation as a Curator after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

15. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

16. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Acronym Meaning regarding your role as a Curator.

17. Acceptance

By checking the box and clicking "Create Account," you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Curator's Agreement.
